"to become the organization that supports air transport connecttivity and drives the Thai economy towards sustainable growth" Aot has conducted studies on the approach to increase the capacity of Thailand's airport system networks for more efficient anf flxible connectivity of travel to various destinations. This approach will cover te transfer of airport operations of Undon Thani International Airport, Sakin Nakhon Airport, Chumphon Airpot and Tak Airport that connect between ASEAN's major cities and regions.

"In term of sustainable development, AOT has included the issue on the country's development and the social well-being and benefits as part of its strategies and day-to-day operations by defining activities or providing support to improve the environment, social and economic system. AOT has also proceeded according to the AOT's Sustainability Master Plan by integrating the strategic roles of airports with the identity of surrounding communities, including the community development projects to respond to its role in social and environmental responsibility and create mutual value for all stakeholders to achieve the corporate citizenship airport concept."

AOT carries out its operation with social responsibility and sustainable development under the concept of "being an airport that is a good citizen of the society and a good neighbour of the community," or Corporate Citizenship Airport.

AOT aims to promote sustainable growth from the inside out by conducting its business responsibly, striking balanced values in terms of economy, society and environment, while strengthening relationships and building trust with stakeholders both at home and abroad.

Regulatory Structure

AOT requires the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, and the Corporate Social Responsibility Working Group at each airport under the supervision of the Corporate Governance Committee to drive management of sustainable development with the following duties and responsibilities,

AOT establishes corporate social responsibility policy for sustainable development in line with nationally and internationally accepted standards such as the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, Dow Jones' RobecoSAM Sustainability Index, ISO 26000 Social Responsibility Standard, the AA1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standard and the Stock Exchange of Thailand's Code of Practice for Social Responsibility.

Sustainable Development Strategy

AOT has established a sustainable development strategy to become a good citizen of the society and a good neighbour of the community, or Corporate Citizenship Airports. The strategy consists of three main frameworks as follows:

AOT's framework for sustainable development

AOT's framework for sustainable development is carried out through the implementation of sustainable development projects and social activities in a tangible manner.

The framework has been developed from the analysis of the effects, risks, opportunities and significant issues on sustainability towards the organizational level, airport surrounding level and social and regional levels which can be divided into three dimensions - economy, society and environment.
