AOT’s airports were certified at level 3 of Airport Carbon Accreditation Program

[:en]On Tuesday 24th April 2018, Ms. Sasisubha Sukontasap, Senior Executive Vice President (Corporate Strategy) as AOT’s representative was awarded with Airport Carbon Accreditation certificates in the occasion that Don Mueang International Airport, Chiang Mai International Airport, Hat Yai International Airport and Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai International Airport were certified at level 3 ‘Optimisation’ at 13th ACI Asia Pacific Regional Assembly, Conference and Exhibition held at  Tokyo Bay Makuhari, Chiba, Japan. This is a significant milestone which indicates AOT’s efforts to manage and reduce the carbon emissions. AOT does not only emphasize the reduction of carbon emission in the airport operations but also on the airlines and other business operating within the airports. At present 5 airports under AOT, Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Mueang International Airport, Chiang Mai International Airport, Hat Yai International Airport and Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai International Airport, are certified at level 3. Phuket International Airport is also planning to join the Airport Carbon Accreditation Program in the future.
