AOT-hosted forum to address technological evolution impacting aviation industry
Bangkok (July 12, 2018) — The aviation industry is facing not only ever-changing challenges in the operating landscape but constant evolution in technology and Innovation. This is the main theme of an international forum hosted this week by the Airports of Thailand Plc (AOT) which brings together chief executives of leading airport operators, industry players and experts to address this topical issue. “The digital age has dramatically changed people’s lifestyles which in turn is transforming the way the aviation industry conducts its business,” said AOT President Nitinai Sirismatthakarn. That requires the industry to evolve, changing its service offering, management structure, and collaborating with other organisations to deliver quality services in a timely fashion, he added.
The conference, entitled “Aviation Industry as It Experiences Constant Evolution in Technology and Innovation,” comes under the 2018 edition of AOT Sister Airport CEO Forum, scheduled on July 11-13 with over 200 attendees. Deputy Transport Minister Pailin Chuchottaworn will preside over the opening of the forum and delivering a keynote speech on July 12. Also jointly presiding over is AOT Chairman Prasong Poontaneat. Other keynote speakers on the day are Dr Pichet Durongkaveroj, Minister of Digital Economy and Society; Mr Arun Mishra, Regional Director of International Civil Aviation Organization (Asia & Pacific Office); and AOT President Nitinai. It will be followed by panel discussions on Airport Challenges in Technology Revolution and Innovative ideas in Air Cargo.
The following day at the forum will devote to sharing best practices on Technology & Innovation for Airport Safety & Security and Enhancing Airport Services with Technology & Creativity by AOT officials and senior executives of 11 international airport operators and companies which have joined the sisterhood with AOT under the Sister Airport Agreement (SAA). Dr Nitinai noted that innovation is a key to boosting competitiveness of AOT which is improving its service provision, commercial operation, organisational management and work linkage with outside organisations through digital platform under the Thailand 4.0 programme. Including in the AOT’s digital roadmap are the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) and AOT Application which extends the forms of passenger service and raising AOT’s efficiency of service provisions.
At this forum, AOT will present the “Digital Platform” project to connect with airports around the world. Moreover, it will use this forum to solicit the development of Thailand as an agricultural product trans-shipment hub for this region by creating collaboration with other airports under the “Certify Hub” concept. Dr Nitinai said AOT hopes this forum will bring about knowledge, experience and best practice sharing which will go a long way to propel the aviation industry to new heights in the age of digital and innovation.

(12 กรกฎาคม 2561) บริษัท ท่าอากาศยานไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) (ทอท.) เป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุมเชิงอภิปราย AOT Sister Airport CEO Forum 2018 ระหว่างวันที่ 11 – 13 กรกฎาคม 2561 ณ ห้อง Ballroom B & C ชั้น 23 โรงแรม Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld กรุงเทพฯ โดยมีพิธีเปิดการประชุมในวันที่ 12 กรกฎาคม 2561 โดยได้รับเกียรติจากนายไพรินทร์ชูโชติถาวร รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงคมนาคมเป็นประธานและกล่าวสุนทรพจน์เปิดงาน พร้อมด้วยนายประสงค์ พูนธเนศ ประธานกรรมการ ทอท.ตลอดจนนายนิตินัย ศิริสมรรถการ กรรมการผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ ทอท. ผู้บริหาร และพนักงาน ทอท. ผู้บริหารท่าอากาศยานที่ร่วมลงนามในบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือระหว่างท่าอากาศยานร่วมในพิธีฯ
นายนิตินัย ศิริสมรรถการ กรรมการผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ ทอท.กล่าวว่า ปัจจุบันเทคโนโลยีในโลกยุคดิจิตอลได้เข้ามามีอิทธิพลต่อรูปแบบการใช้ชีวิตของผู้คนที่ส่งผลให้อุตสาหกรรมการบินเข้าสู่จุดเปลี่ยนแปลงที่สำคัญ ด้วยบริบทของการดำเนินธุรกิจที่จะต้องปรับรูปแบบการให้บริการ การพาณิชย์ และการบริหารงานภายในองค์กร รวมถึงการเชื่อมโยงการทำงานกับองค์กรอื่นในการส่งมอบบริการที่มีคุณภาพ และแข่งขันกับเวลาเพื่อสร้างความประทับใจให้แก่ผู้เข้ามาใช้บริการ ดังนั้น ทอท.จึงได้จัดการประชุมเชิงอภิปราย AOT Sister Airport CEO Forum 2018 ขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 11 – 13 กรกฎาคม 2561 ณ โรงแรม Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld กรุงเทพฯ ภายใต้หัวข้อหลัก “Aviation Industry as It Experiences Constant Evolution in Technology and Innovation” ที่มุ่งเน้นในเรื่องการเผชิญหน้าของอุตสาหกรรมการบินต่อวิวัฒนาการทางเทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรมในปัจจุบันโดยมีผู้บริหารระดับสูงจากบริษัท/องค์กรที่ร่วมลงนามในบันทึกข้อตกลงระหว่างท่าอากาศยานกับ ทอท. (Sister Airport Agreement : SAA) ตลอดจนหน่วยงานราชการ และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องจำนวนกว่า 200 คนเข้าร่วมงาน
สำหรับการประชุมในวันที่ 12 กรกฎาคม 2561 ประกอบด้วย การปาฐกถาพิเศษโดยนายพิเชฐ ดุรงคเวโรจน์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงดิจิทัลเพื่อเศรษฐกิจและสังคม Mr. Arun Mishra, Regional Director, International Civil Aviation Organization (Asia & Pacific Office) และนายนิตินัย ศิริสมรรถการ กรรมการผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ ทอท.ต่อจากนั้นเป็นการอภิปรายในหัวข้อ “ความท้าทายของท่าอากาศยานต่อวิวัฒนาการของเทคโนโลยี (Airport Challenges in Technology Revolution)” และหัวข้อ “มุมมองในมิติด้านนวัตกรรมของการขนส่งสินค้าทางอากาศ (Innovative ideas in Air Cargo)” วันที่ 13 กรกฎาคม 2561 เป็นการอภิปรายเพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนแนวทางที่ดีที่สุด (Sharing Best Practices) ในหัวข้อ “เทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรมสำหรับความปลอดภัยและการรักษาความปลอดภัยของท่าอากาศยาน (Technology & Innovation for Airport Safety & Security)” และหัวข้อ “การปรับปรุงการบริการภายในท่าอากาศยาน โดยการนำเทคโนโลยีและการสร้างสรรค์นวัตกรรมมาใช้ (Enhancing Airport Services with Technology & Creativity)” โดยมีผู้บริหารระดับสูงจากบริษัท/องค์กรที่ร่วมลงนาม SAA
กับ ทอท.และผู้บริหารท่าอากาศยานของ ทอท.ร่วมการอภิปรายดังกล่าว
นายนิตินัย กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า นวัตกรรมถือเป็นหัวใจหลักในการเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันเชิงธุรกิจของ ทอท.ซึ่ง ทอท.ได้ปรับรูปแบบการให้บริการ การพาณิชย์ และการบริหารงานภายในองค์กร รวมถึงการเชื่อมโยงการทำงานกับองค์กรอื่นให้อยู่บนโลกเสมือนจริง (Digital Platform) ไปสู่ยุค Thailand 4.0 รวมถึง ระบบการตัดสินใจในการบริหารท่าอากาศยานร่วมระหว่างหน่วยงาน (Airport Collaborative Decision Making : A-CDM) และการพัฒนา AOT Application ที่จะช่วยการอำนวยความสะดวกผู้โดยสารในรูปแบบต่างๆ อีกทั้งช่วยให้การบริการของ ทอท.มีประสิทธิภาพเพิ่มขึ้นด้วย โดยการประชุมครั้งนี้ ทอท.ได้นำเสนอโครงการ “Digital Platform” เพื่อการเชื่อมโยงเครือข่ายไปยังท่าอากาศยานต่างๆ ทั่วโลก นอกจากนั้น ทอท.ได้ใช้เวทีนี้ในการหาเครือข่ายการขนส่งผ่านศูนย์ตรวจสอบและรับรองคุณภาพสินค้าก่อนส่งออก (Certify Hub) เพื่อให้ประเทศไทยเป็นศูนย์กลางการขนส่งสินค้าการเกษตรในระดับภูมิภาคต่อไป
นายนิตินัย กล่าวในตอนท้ายว่า ทอท.มุ่งหวังว่าการประชุมดังกล่าวจะทำให้เกิดการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ประสบการณ์และแนวทางปฏิบัติที่ดีที่สุดอันจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการปรับปรุงประสิทธิภาพการบริหารงานและการให้บริการผู้โดยสาร เพื่อรองรับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของโลกในด้านเทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรมที่มีผลต่ออุตสาหกรรม การบินสอดรับกับวิสัยทัศน์เชิงนโยบายของรัฐบาลที่ต้องการปรับเปลี่ยนโครงสร้างเศรษฐกิจของประเทศไทยไปสู่เศรษฐกิจที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วยนวัตกรรม หรือ Thailand 4.0 โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งการบูรณาการด้านเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสารเข้ากับกระบวนการธุรกิจอย่างเป็นระบบ และ ทอท.มุ่งมั่นผลักดันองค์กรสู่การเป็นองค์กรแห่งนวัตกรรมเพื่อส่งมอบบริการคุณภาพให้แก่ผู้มาใช้บริการท่าอากาศยานต่อไป
