Preshipment Inspection Center

Preshipment Inspection Center

At present, Thailand’s air cargo volumes transported through Suvarnabhumi Airport Free Zone are 1.3 million tons per year, 10% of which are agricultural products, subject to strict import inspections at the destination countries. As a result, some perishable goods that did not meet the standards were rejected to be imported and then disposed. To reduce such loss and to support agricultural exports.

AOT cooperated with TAFA Consortium Company Limited (TAFA Consortium) to establish the company namely Airports of Thailand TAFA Operator Co., Ltd. (AOTTO), aiming to set the Pre-shipment Inspection Center Project or formerly known as Certify Hub. The objective of the project is to pre-inspect the agricultural product quality before being exported to the destination countries in accordance with international standards.

The facilities for preparing agricultural products and perishable products was established through a Perishable Premium Lane (PPL) operated by AOTTO provides the following services:

  1. Preparing the product to be ready for carriages.
  2. Delivering the product at the loading building under cool chain transportation.
  3. Inspecting product safety under the Regulated Agent (RA) and Regulated Agent from third country (RA3).
